How is this company different to your expectations before joining?

I studied chemical engineering, therefore the semiconductor industry was something new to me.

I was amazed during my plant tour around Micron facility. Although the plant is huge, there are not many people in there. Micron’s fabrication plants is currently using Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), a specialized system responsible for transporting the Front Opening Unified Pod (FOUP) around a fabrication plant. A FOUP is a specialized plastic container intended to hold plastic wafers in a secure manner and allows for the wafers to be transported from one workstation to another for any form of processing or measurement without much human intervention, which allows minimum human error. This helps to reduce the manufacturing cycle time and improve the overall performance of the wafer fabrication process.

At that point of time, I feel glad by joining Micron as i am involve in the Fourth Industrial revolution as digital technologies connect virtually every aspect of life and work.
