Looking back on my journey, from event management and corporate communication to leading talent branding campaigns across the APAC region, the key advice definitely be, "Success is not about achieving titles, or making whatnot, its about the challenges that you have to go through and the how you embrace it will make you and build you to be better than today."

Change is always hard and ugly at the beginning, messy in the middle but almost certainly beautiful and fulfilling at the end. Any form of change or transformation that one goes through will always be the hardest, after all as the saying goes, "the first step is always the hardest". While journeying through the change, it might get messy, confusing and lost, but if you manage to sustain and complete it till the end, it is almost certain that it would be beautiful and fulfilling.

When you are enter a new role or start learning a new skill, everything will always seem difficult or overwhelming at first. However, as time passes and you understand more about the subject, it seems to become easier. This change in perception has huge implications as the difficulty of the subject never changed, only your perception of it. So the next time you feel the subject is too difficult, perhaps you have just not understood it enough yet, so don't give up and keep on trying!

Top Insider Advice
The most important thing I have learned in my career by far, is to be open-minded and have a growth mindset. When I first started as a data science engineer, I was obsessed with the idea that I need to be working on those fancy ideas that allows me to apply the cutting-edge data science technologies, and I would be demotivated when assigned to other tasks like data engineering. Gradually, I found that actually all my experiences, no matter how big or small, will make me unique and become useful at some point in time. For example, if I did not have hands-on experiences on the data engineering tasks in the beginning, I would not be able to lead my team and give them good guidance. So my top advice is to be open, positive, and embrace the growth mindset!
