I would say it is not. Besides assessing the candidate's relevant skills, knowledge and experiences in relation to the job requirements, which is foundational to any interview, the candidate's attitude, behavior and other qualities that's relevant to the job role will also be considered. Your academic result is a reflection of your past achievement at school, it isn't necessarily the ultimate determine factors.
