My team is super interesting because we are based all around the world: my supervisor lives in San Jose and my peers in Boise and Hyderabad, when I am located in Tokyo.
For me the best time to talk and discuss with my director and my peer in the US is in the early morning, which is their late afternoon. The rest of the day I work with my team member in India, as most of our working hours actually overlap.
We do need some degree of flexibility once every now and then, because we are based in different time zones, but I really love working with people all around the world because there is sooooo much to learn from them, who have different backgrounds and experiences compared to me.
Also the technology plays a very important role in this. In fact I cannot imagine working wth them without tools such as Zoom or Teams. This kind of working style was not even thinkablea few years ago. What a time to be alive! :-)
